Reviews for Snug Cafe
Review highlights
Based on 244 reviewsSnug Cafe, nestled in the countryside of High Easter, is appreciated for its friendly and attentive service, along with a pleasant atmosphere offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Many visitors praise the use of fresh, local produce and generally find the food well-prepared and satisfying in portion size. The cafe’s setting attracts cyclists and travelers looking for a cozy stop. However, some guests note inconsistencies with breakfast offerings, citing smaller portions and limited menu options. While prices are considered reasonable, the experience is often described as comfortable but not extraordinary, making Snug Cafe a convenient and welcoming option rather than a standout destination.
Had a fantastic late breakfast ! Local fresh produce well cooked ! Friendly, attentive service. Will certainly be back
Gorgeous location cafè. In the countryside. Lots of cyclists. Ordered a full English breakfast. £12.00. I enquired what that included, abruptly told "menu is there" ...... Was disappointed with the breakfast that arrived. Very small portions. Overcooked bacon and the sausage didn't look fresh. One egg. No option for black pudding, hash browns etc. Shame really
So glad the Snug of High Easter is back open. If you're passing, its a must stop. Today's cuppa with a sizeable chunk of Bread Pudding served up with a smile & friendly chat was just what was needed before continuing on my journey. Thank you Lucy & Wendy Be back soon
This is a pleasant cafe on the edge of High Easter village. There was nothing wrong with the food and the service, but there again it was nothing special either. There is an indoor and a nice outdoor seating area. The prices were reasonable. I would be happy to use this cafe again if I were passing but equally it would not be a destination of choice.
Lovely little place for a lunch with my best mate. Really friendly, cheery staff. Food cooked fresh and a good portion size too. Inside seating or outside picnic type seats. Nice little garden. Quite a small car park but it's right next door to Lodge Coaches so it might be possible to park (sensibly) on their grounds?
Because there were 8 of us none of us could order a fry up unless we had booked in advance. Bit cheesed off with that as had a toasted cheese sarny instead which wasn't what I had in mind! Other than that service was great.
Lovely little cafe next to the Lodge's garage. Friendly staff and great food - best breakfast I've had in a long time! Everything spot-on - good sausages, well-done bacon, actually-cooked tomatoes, fried egg perfection, thick toast. Highly recommended!
Great stop on some of our club rides so a cycle friendly cafe serving a good selection of hot and cold drinks and food. Covid friendly social distancing and outdoor seating and ordering. Try their delicious slabs of bread pudding ideal to fuel the long ride back home. Recommended.
